Privacy Policy
1. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, and avatar provided by your sign-in method (Apple, Google, X, or TikTok) via Clerk.
- Birth data you enter: name, date of birth, time of birth, country, city, gender. Stored on our servers to compute astrological charts.
- Generated content: charts, interpretations, and chat messages. May be cached on our servers.
- Subscription status: your current plan and entitlements, provided by Apple In-App Purchase via RevenueCat.
- Error reports: crash data and diagnostics sent to Sentry when an error occurs.
We do not collect advertising identifiers, precise location, contacts, photos, or microphone data.
2. How we use your data
We use your data to provide the service: compute charts, generate interpretations, manage your account and subscription, and diagnose errors. We do not sell your data.
3. Third-party services
- Clerk — authentication.
- Apple — sign-in and In-App Purchase.
- RevenueCat — subscription management.
- Sentry — error monitoring.
- OpenRouter, Together AI, Google — AI-generated content. Only anonymized chart data is sent to these providers; personal identifiers are never shared.
4. Data retention and deletion
You can delete your account from Settings at any time. Deletion permanently removes your account, stored profiles, and associated data. To prevent abuse of free-tier limits, we may retain a one-way cryptographic hash of your email address (which cannot be reversed to identify you) for up to 14 days after deletion; it is then purged automatically.
5. Children
Astrosimple is rated 12+. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. Contact [email protected] if you believe a child has used the app.
6. International transfers
Your data may be processed in the United States by our hosting and service providers.
7. Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact [email protected].
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated in-app at least 14 days before they take effect.
